Conquering Isolation with Community

Elder Orphan Care exists to provide help and hope for older adults aging alone, so we see loneliness and isolation on a daily basis. We were not surprised, although still saddened, to read the Surgeon General of the United States 85-page 2023 report entitled "Our Epidemic of Loneliness and Isolation." The subtitle is more encouraging: "The U.S. Surgeon General's Advisory on the Healing Effects of Social Connection and Community."

Please pray that Elder Orphan Care can continue battling the isolation felt by our older friends by providing friendship, socialization and purposeful activities. We are praying that more and more individuals, churches and communities would also do what they are able to create community for older adults in such a way that isolation is overcome!
